Delyana Karaivanova
Psychotherapist
- I am a qualified and UKCP-accredited psychotherapist.
- I hold face-to-face sessions and online therapy via Zoom.
- I completed my training and accreditation at Metanoia Institute in London.
I work with various issues and have a specific interest in relationships, the way we make contact with others, ourselves and our environment. I have years of experience working with people living with addiction, eating and body image issues, and a generally difficult relationship with themselves.
I believe that self-acceptance is an essential step towards change, and I will work with you to get to know and accept parts of you which might feel wrong or unacceptable.
I incorporate forms of meditation, and creative and grounding techniques whenever helpful and enriching for the work.
To me, psychotherapy is a way of living and being in the world. We will work at your natural pace, and I will guide and support you to stay in the present moment, where you can safely explore patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving that may be deep-rooted or hold you back in some way.
Since meaningful change only happens when we truly accept our whole selves, getting to know ourselves well and with awareness is extremely important to therapeutic work.
I believe in the integration of mind and body and find it essential to raise awareness of both. The holistic nature of Gestalt psychotherapy allows me to help you do that safely.
